I’m not gonna lie…I like this song. This is for my R&B heads that say I post too much hip hop and mostly for the ladies, I know they love this song. Letoya is definitely doing her thing as of late and I still think Ludacris is one of those rappers that has never really dropped a wack verse. Ms. Luckett will be slept on for awhile, hopefully many of you will take notice soon. This song and video is can’t miss…Oh yea, good product placement by Diddy in this video with the Ciroc flowing…

Cash Rules Everything Around Me, C.R.E.A.M. get the money, dollar dollar bills yall…
Since seeing Ghostface Killah perform this time last week I’ve been listening to a lot of classic Wu-Tang clan albums from the Purple Tape (OB4CL), Supreme Clientele to Tical and Liquid Swords. In the spirit of all of this, I decided to post a classic Wu-Tang video for today’s Throwback Thursday video.
C.R.E.A.M. was the second single off of their first album together, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and features verses by Raekwon, a long second verse with the spotlight on Inspectah Deck, and the hook by Method Man. (which has been sampled many times…) Inspectah Deck’s verse is often considered one of his best as he spoke on growing up in the ghetto, life without a father, drug dealing, prison and ”kicking the truth to the young black youth…” - overall as sense of encoraging youth to do something better with their lives besides getting caught up in street life. Remember ODB did say Wu-Tang was for the children…
The scenes for the video start off in the projects on Staten Island and moving on to a more lavish lifestyle of big houses, champagne, bags of money and Mercedes. The video for this single also features classic early ’90s urban New York styles of dress, as the majority of the people in the video are wearing goose-downs, Champion hoodies, black skullies, and either beige or black Timberlands. You can’t tell me that you didn’t own a Triple Fat Goose down coat back in the day…enjoy this…
